Pony and Horse Summer Camps are offered from 9am - 3pm.

For Ages 5 years to 12 years

 

Your kids will learn safety around the ponies and horses, how to walk, groom, and feed them. They learn basics of riding on a horse/pony each day and get daily individual attention from the instructor. They will get to ride in both Western and English riding styles, ride bareback and experience driving a pony cart. Our campers have safe FUN with the ponies and horses!

If it's a weekly camp there will be some games/crafts in the afternoon as well as learning interesting facts about horses and exploring more of what was learned that morning. Twice a week there will be a fun “karate/self defense” lesson with Mr. Glenn who is a 3rd degree black belt with over 20 years of teaching experience done at each kids own comfort level (no contact).

Campers bring a lunch and a lunch drink daily. We will supply water to refill their water bottles, daily snacks and afternoon drinks.

What makes our camp different?

For starters, your child can try one of our individual days first to see if they like it, before committing to a whole week! Second, you can request that we add a camp day anytime your child and friends have a day off. Ask for details.

We have miniatures, ponies and horses, all known for their good manners and years of experience around kids. Kids will get a chance to handle a “horse” of their size, not one too big for them. They will get the chance to explore true “horsemanship” and “horse sense”.

Kids will get to meet and care for “Molly the Pony” the famous Katrina rescue pony with a prosthetic leg. They will personally get to hear her story and gain an understanding of the responsibility involved with her care and the care of our other rescued/retired animals.

And most of all, through our unique training program, based on 28 years of experience, we intend to send each one home and back to school better equipped to learn based on what and how they learned here. Our camp specializes in the individuals, not on a mass group.

Camp size is limited to 6 campers a week unless we have an “advanced” week where we will allow up to 8 if the campers are coming back for a second week. This way, your child will really get an individualized program and individualized attention.

Non-refundable deposits of 50% of fee are due upon signing up for a camp.
Deposits can be credited toward another camp if you give notice more than two weeks prior to camp start.

Be sure to ask about our discounts for multiple days or camp weeks.
